Right now, a stolen bike means posting in a Facebook group and hoping the right rider scrolls past it in time. Herd skips the hoping — the moment it's marked stolen, every rider within 30 miles of its last known position gets an automatic alert. No posting, no waiting.

That location stays inside a verified network. Herd is only ever fitted by a certified installer, and the app only unlocks with a unique code issued at installation — so the riders seeing your bike's last known position are registered Herd owners, not the open public. Share that same location in a Facebook group and anyone who opens the post can see it, including, potentially, the thief.

Community alert feed

The moment you report your bike stolen, every Herd rider within 30 miles sees its last known position — and can send anything useful straight back to you from the alert.

Layered positioning

GPS, mobile signal and WiFi work together, so your bike still reports a position indoors, in a garage or in the back of a van — where GPS-only trackers go dark.

Early movement alert

If the bike moves before you've started it — even a few inches — you get a push notification straight away, often the first sign something's wrong.

Crash detection

If the bike goes down, Herd notices and alerts your first emergency contact automatically — so help's on the way even if you can't make that call yourself.

Wireless alarm

An indoor siren and strobe that fires within seconds of confirmed movement, works through walls, and stays linked to the tracker even without a network.

Ghost tracker

A second hidden device with its own battery and signal, activated when a bike is reported stolen — the answer to jammers and cut power when the main tracker is defeated.

THE STORY BEHIND HERD

Two years ago, my bike was stolen.

I'd saved hard for it. It was my pride, my freedom, my escape — and one morning it was just gone. I never saw it again.

What hit me hardest wasn't only the loss. It was how powerless it felt. I did what everyone does: posted in the local groups, asked people to keep an eye out. And then nothing. The right person never sees it in time.

It put me off riding completely. For two years, I didn't get another bike.

But the idea wouldn't leave me. What if, the moment a bike was taken, every rider nearby knew instantly? Not a post lost in a feed — a real alert, to real riders, right where it mattered. What if the whole community became the search party?

That's HERD. A covert GPS tracker paired with a community alert network, built by a rider who knows exactly how it feels to lose a bike — and never wants another rider to feel that powerless.
